Tropical Depression Urduja
Tropical Depression Urduja is a cyclone that hit the Philippines in November 24, 2009. It has a maximum wind of 55 kilometers per hour.
On Thursday, October 26, 2009, the typhoon is expected to be 140 kms Northeast of Surigao City or 110 kms Southeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.
On Friday, October 27, 2009, the storm will be 150 kms East of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.
Tropical Depression Urduja was earlier tracked to be moving west-northwest route through the Visayas from Mindanao but a high-pressure area in the Sulu Sea near Palawan continued to block its way out while Tropical Storm Nida in the South Pacific is pulling the storm to follow an east-northeast route.
On November 24, 2009, the center of Tropical Depression Urduja was spotted 40 kilometers north of Surigao City packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour. By Wednesday, November 25, 2009, the depression has slowed down to become a low pressure area an forecasted to be 80 km northeast of Surigao City.
