Teresita P. Acevedo

Dr. Teresita P. Acevedo is a Filipino scientist involved with engineering and industrial research.

Dr. Acevedo is a former professor in the Department of Food Science and Nutrition College of Home Economics at the University of the Philippines. Her researches helped and influenced the country’s lawmakers to formulate food development policies and standards. They are also now used as basis in the design and creation of globally competitive food processing technologies which has become a great factor in helping the country’s food manufacturing sector in producing world-class quality food products.

For her achievements, Dr. Acevedo is honored as one of the eleven Filipino scientists awarded for significant achievements by the National Research Council of the Philippines.
