Sony Lopez-Gonzalez

Sony Lopez-Gonzalez is a dancer, pianist and teacher. She was born on 3 August 1933 in Manila to Francisco Lopez and Angelina Fajardo. She is the mother of Toni Lopez Gonzalez.


She took music courses at the Santa Isabel College in Manila. She then studied with dancers Ricardo Cassell and Remedios De Oteyza. She went to the United States and there she studied at the Ballet Arts Studio, School of American Ballet, Juilliard School of Music, and at Katharine-Gibbs School.
