Salikata National Park
Salikata National Park is located at the Municipality of Lumba Bayabao, Lanao del Sur. The area is accessible through the Municipality of Lumba Bagayao, Lanao del Sur and can be penetrated by means of foot trails, about one (1) kilometer from the provincial road of the municipality.
The area is made up of a rugged terrain and peculiar rock formations can be found in the park. The vegetative area is covered with close canopy that contains dominant species such as Shorea Contorea, Shorea Negronensia and other miscellaneous species. Dominant epiphytes include ferns and orchids. Aside from the cultivated open areas planted with bananas and coffee, a portion of the park is covered with second growth forest. There are four species of birds recorded in the park, namely: woodpeckers, parrots, hornbills and wild chickens. Mammals which are also recorded are Philippine Deer, wild pigs and foxes.
