Roberta Cassell

Roberta Cassell was born in 30 November 1923 at St. Maries, Idaho. She is a dancer, choreographer and a dance teacher.

She studied and graduated dance, and the other arts from the Cornish School in Seattle, Washington together with her husband, Ricardo Cassell. She did part-time teaching in Anita Kane's School of Classic Dance. With her husband, they were invited by a student- Pacita Madrigal-Warns to establish the Manila Ballet Academy, that presented the Philippine premier of Giselle. They also established the Cassell Dance Studio and founded the Studio Dance Group. A tribute was given to her by the Philippine Ballet Theater for bringing the art of ballet to a certain level of professional competence and the most outstanding dancers in the Philippines.
