Pinoy MD Program

The Pinoy MD Program is a joint effort by the Department of Health (DOH), Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), and various state universities and medical schools in the Philippines to provide medical scholarship grants. The program is available for indigenous people, local health workers, baranggay health workers, Department of Health employees, and their children.


Scholarship Package

The Pinoy MD Programs will cover the following:

  1. National Medical Admission Test (NMAT)
  2. Tuition Fees
  3. Miscellaneous and Laboratory Fees
  4. Living Subsidy
  5. Lodging, transportation, book, and uniform allowances


Qualifications

The qualifications for the scholarship grant includes the following:

  1. Completed a 4-year undergraduate degree, weighted average of 2.0
  2. Below 35 years of age
  3. Good moral character
  4. Combined family income should not exceed P200,000 per annum (for indigenous people and barangay health workers
  5. Below 15 salary grade for local health workers and DOH employees
  6. Willing to render 2 years service to the government for every year of study
  7. Must not shift or take a nursing course after graduation
