Philippine Lipid and Atherosclerosis Society
The Philippine Lipid and Atherosclerosis Society is an organization based in the Philippines that was established to prevent and control lipid disorders in the country. The organization is up against the fight on lipid disorders, they exist to be able to educate the people about the disorder to prevent it and to further study the nature and cure to the disorder.
Vision and Mission
The organization envisions to "minimized impact of lipid disorders on atherosclerosis." Along with this is their mission, which is to "prevent and control lipid disorders in the Philippines".
Values
The organization holds the following values:
Life - They respect and care for life as a gift from the Divine. The organization devotes itself in serving the great gift of human life.
Integrity - They get the guidance in saving and maintaining quality of life through Primum non-nocere. Honesty, sincerity and fairness are the ethics rule to their conduct. They practice medicine with honor.
Partnership - In healthcare, they consider patients and the community as a family, and these family includes patients' families, the lay sector, other medical practitioners, healthcare industry, and the regional and global bodies dedicated to the same cause minimizing the impact of lipid disorders.
Innovation - to the members of the organization, it is a challenge to improve their knowledge regarding medicine and they pursue every opportunity towards excellence in delivering in healthcare.
Dedication - They take their responsibility as God's caretakers of human life, and with this they give their best at all times.
Service - The organization puts premium quality and compassion in patient care. They continuously research, learn and share new knowledge with their healthcare partners so that they could successfully prevent and control lipid disorders in the country.
