Para Kay B
Para Kay B (O Kung Paano Dinevastate ng Pag-ibig ang 4 Out of 5 sa Atin) is the first novel written by the multi-awarded writer Ricky Lee. The book centers on the most universal topic, love. As the title suggests, the author devised a formula positing that four out of five people who fall in love end up being heartbroken.
About the book
The novel consists of five interconnected stories spun by a writer named Lucas in order to win the heart of his beloved. Among Irene, Sandra, Erica, Ester, and Bessie, only one will find happiness in falling in love.
The language used is Taglish, evocative of the colloquial talk observed in everyday Filipino conversation, which is mostly a mélange of subcultural lingos, such as gay speak, street lingo, and coño.
