Naujan Lake National Park
The Naujan Lake National Park is located in the northeastern section of Oriental Mindoro and is bordered by the municipalities of Naujan, Pola, Victoria and Socorro. Naujan Lake is the largest lake on the Island of Mindoro which is considered a discrete biogeographical region. The lake is an important feeding or wintering area for large numbers of ducks and other waterbirds such as herons, egrets, terns, rails and bitterns. A total of 5 amphibians, 12 reptiles, 68 birds (of which at least 15 are waterbird species), 13 mammals and 14 fish species have been recorded. Five fish species have been identified as migratory fishes. More than 600 floral species have been observed within the Naujan Lake National Park.
