Naga

The naga is described as a winged dragon with sharp claws and fiery breath. The Maranaos believe that this creature lives in outer space. The naga’s figure is sculpted in panolong, the design of a sultan’s torogan (Maranao house). Naga is the symbol of power and courage. The Maranaos also sculpt the naga’s figure on their swords.
