Maxima J. Acelajado

Dr. Maxima Acelajado is a Filipino scientist noted for her outstanding researches on upgrading mathematics teaching in the Philippines. She was honored as one of the Top 11 Filipino Scientists by the National Research Council of the Philippines for her achievements in the field of governmental, educational, and international policies.

Dr. Acelajado is the author and co-author of mathematics books for high school and college, which are now prescribed books or references in many schools. Her books were written based on her researches in different regions of the country. Many education experts in the Philippines acknowledged her works to have contributed to the improved and improving performance of both high school and college students in different fields of mathematics.[1]
