Lourdes Reyes-Montinola, is Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Far Eastern University in the City of Manila, Philippines (June 1989 to present). She is the daughter of the FEU founder Nicanor Reyes Sr.. She is active in the arts and culture with the Oriental Ceramics Society, Heritage Conservation Society, Asia Society, and Museum Foundation of the Philippines.
She received her A.B. at Marymount College, New York, and her M.A. from Asean Graduate Institute of Arts. She also received an M.D.P. from Harvard University. In 2001 she studied for a doctorate in philosophy in English Studies at the University of the Philippines.
She currently chairs FERN Realty Corporation, FEU Educational Foundation, Nicanor Reyes Educational Foundation. She is the governor of Nicanor Reyes Memorial Foundation.
She is a book writer. In 1991 her book on the Philippine national fabric "Piña" won the Manila Critics Circle National Book Award for Art. Her next book "Breaking the Silence" about the fate of 100,000 civilians during the Battle of Manila won the National Book Award for Biography.
