Los Mendigos (translation: The Beggars) is a 62 x 41 centimeter painting in oil on canvas by Felix Resurreccion Hidalgo y Padilla. This portrayal of children beggars was executed by Hidalgo in 1878 at the age of 18. It belongs to the Alejandro Roces Collection.[1]

The children in rugged clothes, the girl's hand that seems to beg, the oblique position of the violin in the boy's hand, repeated by his right leg's bent position, and the girl's blouse that fallen on her left shoulder express severe poverty. This painting on canvas also shows variety and contrast of colors.[1]
