LG&M Corporation is a Philippine publishing firm which started in 1997. LG&M stands for Lawson, Gutierrez and Mata, surnames of three married sisters, Estela, Aida, and Nila. LG&M is a duly registered corporation at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and is also a registered as book publisher and printer at the National Book Development Board (NBDB).


In its maiden year, LG&M geared its efforts and resources in preparation for the Second Textbook Call undertaken by the Instructional Materials Council Secretariat (IMCS) under the Department of Education (DepEd). Its efforts were amply paid off, when its entry for Filipino Grade 5 was approved for public school use beginning school year 1999. From then on, LG&M aims to produce more instructional materials that will meet the DepEd standard, and eventually become a part of DepEd in providing quality education for the Filipino students.

Children's Book Publisher

In 2002, LG&M and sister company Vibal Publishing House, Inc. started publishing children's storybooks. After being in the industry for only five years, LG&M has already made a name as a children's book publisher. LG&M's excellent authors and illustrators made this possible.

LG&M's Golden Salakot Stories, is a collection of storybooks in English and Filipino that feature fascinating stories for kids. The books enhance creativity and literacy while promoting values and life lessons.
