Jaynard Angeles

Jaynard Angeles was a radio commentator for Radyo ni Juan Tacurong and a town councilor aspirant from Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat. He was also a station manager of Radyo ni Juan FM station before he stepped down from his position to take part in the race to be elected as councilor.
Death
Angeles, who had been a “hard-hitting commentator” for more than 10 years, was shot dead by two gunmen in a car wash establishment in Tacurong City. On 12 January 2022, he was shot in the head and the murderers fled the scene.
United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Director-General Audrey Azoulay has denounced the killing.
In October 2019, Radyo ni Juan’s station manager, Benjie Caballero, was also shot dead in Tacurong.
