Homma-Yamashita Shrine located inside the campus of University of Philippines, Los Banos, it is a commemorative markings for the two Japanese Generals, Masaharu Homma and Tomoyuki Yamashita who was the commander of the Japanese Imperial Army, who led the attack on the Philippines. They were executed here after the dramatic rescue of the Americans and internees by Filipino guerillas and U.S. paratroopers on February 23,1935, the entire campus was razed to the ground. Only Baker Hall, the armory-gymnasium remained standing amidst the rubble.
