Gumuhong Bantayog is a drama komiks novel written and illustrated by Francisco V. Coching. It tells the story of Don Anselmo, a rich businessman who lost everything and was forced to live in poverty after the Japanese occupation. It was originally published in the pages of Pilipino Komiks in 1960 and was adapted into film by Sampaguita Picturesin the same year, under the direction of Conrado Conde. The film starred Van de Leon, Marlene Dauden, Eddie Garcia and Barbara Perez. The movie was nominated in 10 categories in the 1960 FAMAS awards including 4 acting awards and the Best Picture award.
