Ernesto Fajardo, popularly known as Don Pepot (6 November 1933- 18 January 2022) was a comedian, actor, radio host, and writer. He is best known for his trademark mustache and aggressive comic style.

Career

Fajardo first worked as a newspaper and ice drop vendor and as a construction worker. He also used to appear in a traveling comedy show where he was in tandem with the late Apeng Daldal before he entered showbiz.

He was simply known as Pepot in the early years of his showbiz career. His career as a comic actor spanned decades. He started with the movie Show Business in 1964. He was part of hit movies such as Shake Rattle & Roll V, Oki Doki Doc: The Movie, and S2pid Luv. In 2005, he was awarded the Lou Salvador Sr. Memorial Award at the 53rd Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards (FAMAS) Awards for his contributions to Philippine Cinema.

Throughout his career, he appeared in over a hundred films and worked with other known comedians such as Dolphy, Redford White, Babalu, and more. His last movie were Enteng Kabisote with Vic Sotto and Agimat with Bong Revilla for the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

In 2014, there were rumors on social media about his death. He denied this and clarified that he was retired in Malabon. He, however, suffered from arthritis.
