The Barrio Pugad Lawin Balintawak it was a foremost Philippine historic site where the “Great Plebian” and founder of KKK, a revolutionary society, Andres Bonifacio launched the Philippine Revolution against the Spaniards in 1896. The uprising was called the Cry of Balintawak. It took place, then, on August 23, 1896, when Bonifacio and his men tore their cedulas to symbolize their armed defiance of Spain.
