Just like other kids, Reyes dreamt of becoming a firefighter or a police officer.  He took chemical engineering in UP because of his high school teacher’s advice.  However, when he heard that the head of the Department of Tourism was working on and was pushing for changers in tourism in 1970, he decided to change course from chemical engineering to hotel and restaurant administration.
