Vicente Orestes L. Romualdez

Vicente Orestes Romualdez Y Lopez (b. July 3, 1885 - d. Sept. 30, 1955) a native of Tolosa, Leyte, studied at Ateneo Municipal De Manila, and became a "clase superior" with his brothers Norberto and Miguel in 1895-1896, when he was only 11yrs old. He started public service on July 11, 1912 when he acquired the title of "Hukom Pamayapa" of Tolosa and later became provincial sheriff of Leyte. Vicente Romualdez studied law at Escuela De Derechos De Manila and and had passed the bar exam in 1916. Later, he received the title of "Doctorate of Civil Laws" (Sobresaliente) at the University of Santo Tomas on November 1923. During the Japanese regime, Romualdez joined the guerilla movement.
