Tomas de Leon is a Member of the Board of Directors of the state-owned Land Bank of the Philippines. He was appointed by President Benigno Aquino III to represent the private sector. He also holds executive positions in various privately-held companies including the Bacolod Real Estate Development Corporation and Top Harbor Corporation. De Leon is a graduate of Ateneo de Manila University.



Tomas de Leon is an Economics graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University. He also obtained a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.

Professional profile

De Leon has extensive managerial experiences in the private sector. For the early part of his career, he gained his management experience from Insular Life-FGU Group of Companies from 1972 to 1974. He then moved on to Family Bank and Trust Company from 1978 to 1980. He then became a Senior Associate at the Louise A. Allen Association from 1981 to 1989.

Since 2005, Mr. De Leon has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Land Bank Realty Development Corporation (LBRDC). Currently, he is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Bacolod Real Estate Development Corporation (BREDCO) and is Director and Vice President of commercial seaport operator Top Harbor Corporation.

He is likewise President of IT service provider Data Trail Corporation and former chairman and president of the Philippine Society for Training and Development and the Asian Regional Training and Development Organization.

In 2010, President Aquino appointed him as a Land Bank Director representing the private sector. He replaced previous Director Cyril del Callar. He is credited to have packaged a portfolio that included the establishment at the BREDCO area of an oil extraction plant.
