The Philippines Free Press is the oldest news weekly in the Philippines, established in 1907. It also has a magazine in its line-up, as well as articles from its archives. It is the Philippines' oldest existing English weekly news-magazine. Founded in 1907 by Mr. Robert McCulloch Dick, The Philippines Free Press has, from its beginning, lived up to its name. The staff has been encouraged to explore every event of significance, regardless of the influence of agencies or personalities that may have been affected. Despite repeated attempts to curtail its publication, the magazine had not wavered in its determination to give to the people of the Philippines a truly free press.
