Under the able leadership of Mohammad Omar Fajardo, a group of overseas Filipino workers (OFW) formed a movement advocating the rights of their fellow OFW’s. It was called “OFW Movement”. It was officially organized on July 11, 1996.
A 12-man committee created the movement’s pillars. Mohammad Omar Fajardo served as chair while Art Aligaen was elected as President.
