School-Based Management System

School-Based Management (SBM) System focuses on strengthening the support systems of the Department of Education (DePeD) by improving educational planning and management by members of the academe.

SBM is a component of STRIVE, a response to BESRA KRT 1 - which aims to enable and empower school stakeholders to manage its affairs for improved delivery of educational services.

[edit] Objectives

According to Strive.deped.gov.ph SBM aims to strengthen the support systems of DepEd, three Regional Offices, selected Divisions and schools for School Based Management through improved educational planning and management; and develop a functional management support system for continuing school improvement at regional, division and school levels.
