[edit] Synopsis

Rosalinda is a 20-year-old beautiful woman who sells flowers in a restaurant. One day, she meets a rich guy named Fernando Jose. He sometimes plays the piano and sings in the restaurant. After a while, they fall in love with each other, get married, and have a child whom they gave the name Erika. But Rosalinda's mother-in-law, Valeria, doesn't approve of their marriage so she plans of separating the couple. Rosalinda's real mother, Soledad, is still in jail for killing Fernando Jose's real father. She is only suspected but really is innocent, however she doesn't have enough proof so she is still imprisoned. After knowing the bitter truth, Fernando Jose leaves Rosalinda and their daughter. Valeria then kidnaps Erika. After being through a lot of dilemmas, Rosalinda becomes depressed, therefore losing her memory. She is sent to the mental hospital.

One night, the hospital burns down while some of the patients are still inside. Rosalinda is able to go out just in time, but her loved ones think that she is one of those who died inside. She meets an old man who forces her and demonstrates how to steal. Having no other choice because of her amnesia, she is forced to become a thief. She meets Alex Dorantes when she tries getting things in his house. Being a good man, he cleans her up and gives her a new identity, Paloma Dorantes, and she becomes a singer. She falls in love with him, who has also become her talent agent as she slowly makes it to fame. Fernando Jose, in the meantime, marries Rosalinda's elder sister, Fedra.

Everything in Rosalinda's life seems to be going well with Alex, until one night, they attended Fernando Jose's concert. He plays the song that he played before when they first met. Hearing it, Rosalinda regains her memory. She rushes to go out of the concert and so she is hit by an approaching vehicle. Alex brings her to the hospital. After this, Rosalinda remembers that she is really not Paloma.

Now that she has already regained her memory, Rosalinda needs to go back to her life so she can fight and get her daughter, her family as well as Fernando Jose. There have been a lot of changes that she experiences as she tries to return. Valeria finds out about this so with the help of her followers, she tries to stop Rosalinda from getting what she wants. Rosalinda then gets to find the real color of Fernando Jose.

The story ends with Fernando Jose and Rosalinda gets married in their planned church. They live happily as a family along with their daughter.
