Roberto Aboitiz is the brother of Jon Ramon Aboitiz, the 18th richest Filipino in 2010. He serves as a Director of the publicly-listed holding firm, Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. (AEV), and is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of one of AEV’s subsidiary, Aboitiz Constrution Group, and served as Chairman of the Board of other AEV’s subsidiaries.



Roberto graduated from Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Science.

Roberto has served as Director of AEV since 1994. He served as Chairman of AEV from 2005 until December 2008. He is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Aboitiz Construction Group, Inc.; Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cebu Industrial Park Developers, Inc.; Propriedad Del Norte, Inc.; Director of City Savings Bank, Cotabato Light & Power Company, Davao Light & Power Company, Inc., Tsuneishi Heavy Industries (Cebu), Inc., Metaphil International, Inc., Aboitiz Land, Inc., Aboitiz & Company, Inc.; Trustee of the Aboitiz Foundation, Inc., City Savings Bank, K&A Metal Industries Inc., Tsuneishi Holding Inc., Tsuneishi Heavy Industries (Cebu) Inc.; and Vice President and Trustee of Tsuneishi Foundation (Cebu) Inc., and West Cebu Foundation.

He also serves as the Chairman of the Board of AEV Aviation Inc., Aboitiz Land Inc., Aboitiz Construction Group Inc., Astral Construction and Development Corporation, Cebu Industrial Park Development Inc., FBMA Marine Inc. and Aboitizland Inc. and CSB Land Inc.; and served as AEV’s Chairman until 2008.
