Reihana Mohideen

Reihana Mohideen is a long-term feminist activist for women's rights. She was born in Sri Lanka and now resideing in the Philippines. She started her involvement in the women's movement in Australia at the University of Melbourne. She has worked as agender specialist in Timor-Leste, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Cambodia, Papua New Guinea, Afghanistan, the UK and Australia, and for several international development agencies including Oxfam and the UNDP. Her work in Pakistan and Afghanistan brought her in contact with the struggles of Muslim women against religious fundamentalism.
