Red Diaries is a sexy drama flick by Regal Films which was released in 2001. Directed by Maryo J. De los Reyes, this is Assunta de Rossi's first-ever daring adult movie wherein she bared her upper extremities while doing sexy scenes.

The first episode deals about the story of a mistress who is engaged in an extra-curricular activity with her lover's driver. The second story deals about an illicit relationship of a balik-bayan with a seminarian. The third - and the most controversial - is about the martyr wife of an abusive police officer who allowed his colleagues to molest his wife.

Considered a controversial hit movie, the chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) attempted to block the release of the film, claiming that one of the three episodes directly insulted the police organization. The movie became an instant blockbuster, attracting movie-goers which was triggered by the protest as well as de Rossi's daring scenes.
