Philippine Revolutionary Army
The Philippine Revolutionary Army (Filipino Hukbong Pilipinong Mapanghimagsik; Spanish Ejército Revolucionario Filipino) was founded on March 22, 1897 in Cavite. General Artemio Ricarte was the first Captain General. This armed force of General Emilio Aguinaldo's revolutionary government replaced the Katipunan military.
