Philip Sigfrid Fortun is a Philippine lawyer known for handling several high-profile and controversial clients accused of murder or gross corruption, including Senator Panfilo Lacson, former president Joseph Ejercito Estrada, and Andal Ampatuan Jr.

Background

Fortun was born in 1957 and has been a practicing lawyer since 1984. He studied law in the University of the Philippines.

Fortun is a lawyer for the Fortun Narvasa Salazar law firm where his colleagues include Gregorio Y. Narvasa II, the son of former chief justice Andres Narvasa. Fortun is a registered trademark and patent attorney as well as a member of the International Bar Association, the Inter-Pacific Bar Association, and the Maritime Law Association of the Philippines. Other affiliations include the International Chamber of Commerce, Legal Management Council of the Philippines and Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, and the Intellectual Property Association of the Phillipines.

Fortun's areas of practice includes criminal and civil litigation, family law, commercial arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, intellectual property litigation, agrarian law, and admiralty and maritime law.
