Pangasinan Colleges of Science and Technology (PCST) as incorporated under Philippine Laws on August 26, 1992 is a Non-Stock, Non-Profit Family Corporation authorized to operate under Sec. Registration No. ANO92-003201 as a school to provide courses in all levels of education and to conduct educational researches and studies.
PCST started its operation in 1993 occupying a 3-storey building with ten (10) rooms located along Mc Arthur Highway in Urdaneta, Pangasinan. It had 510 enrolments for the different courses it had offered which are Pharmacy, Nursing, Electrical Technology, Criminology, Secretarial Administration and Mechanical Technology. PCST was one among the few schools to adopt the ladderized program of courses.
It is also during the start of the Millennium year when the Board of Directors decided to offer free tuition to the students of Special Science High School, which is now on its Second year. PCST as acknowledged the Chief Secondary Education of DECS Region I acclaim the only school for such innovation in the whole country.
The school with the very modest start has now grown and developed so fast because of the creativity, determination and hard work of the President, Dr. Romeo T. Padilla, who was once a classroom teacher after graduating from the Central Luzon State University with his BS in Agricultural Education degree. His dream to give extensive services to the community was strengthened after finishing his doctoral degree in education. Mrs. Corazon T. Padilla, his spouse who was also a classroom teacher and a holder of Master of Arts in Education played a vital role in management and development of PCST.
