Panawagan is a public dramatic representation of the birth of Jesus at a fluvial parade in Kawit, Cavite. It depicts Mary and Joseph who land on designated shores in quest for a room where Mary could comfortably give birth. The actors wear ancient clothing.

There was a version of this in Taal, Batangas that featured knocking at every house.
