Pacita “Chit” Juan is the founder of Figaro Coffee Co., and a full-time social entrepreneur who focuses on social and environmental causes including Philippine Coffee Board, ECHOstore and Peace and Equity Foundation. Juan has also launched her own coffee brand—Chit’s Coffee.

Achievements and Awards

Pacita’s remarkable accomplishments have earned her awards from different bodies. She was awarded by Ernst and Young with “Entrepreneur of the Year” for Small Businesses in 1993. She was recognized by the University of the Philippines as Most Outstanding Professional Awardee as an Alumna of her college in 1995.

She co-authored the book KAPE: A Philippine Coffee Book which has received Manila Critics’ Circle National Book Award and the Gintong Aklat Award. She also authored the book “BARAKO: The Big Bean” and a coffee textbook titled “An Introduction to Coffee”.
