National Educational Testing and Research Center leads in research, evaluation and assessment of the effectiveness of education which provides information vital to the formulation of educational policies geared towards the realization of an empowered and globally competitive Filipino.

Key programs of National Educational Testing and Research Center are the following: National Elementary Achievement Test or the NEAT, National Secondary Achievement Test or NSAT, Philippine Validating Tests PVT, the Accreditation and Equivalency Program AEP, and the Accelerated Learning Program for Elementary School or the ALPES.
