Napoleon Rama

Napoleon G. Rama also known as Don Napoleon Rama y Genson, was a Filipino journalist, columnist, a member of the 1986 Constitutional Commission, and in 1987, became the floor leader of the Constitutional Convention. With his interest to to learn Spanish, he studied in the seminary of the University of San Carlos in Cebu. He has written numerous cultural contributions of Spain to the Philippines. He was awarded the "Most Outstanding Alumnus of the Universidad de San Carlos". His article "North Borneo Belongs To US" was published in Philippine Free Press which also became the basis of the country's negotiations in re-claiming Borneo. He worked for the Philadelphia Bulletin in Philadelphia U.S and was the "Journalist of the Year" in 1959. He was the editor of the only Spanish newspaper in Cebu, El Observatorio which regularly published news stories about Spain and South-America. He also received the Premio Zobel 1992.
