Monde Nissin Corporation (Monde) is a privately held company engaged in the production of food products such as noodles and biscuits. The company offers its products under Monde, Lucky Me! and M.Y. San brandsIt is headed by Betty Ang, who was ranked by the Forbes Asia as the 23rd richest Filipino with a net worth of USD165 million. Monde Nissin has been consistently in the Top 100 Companies since 2000 and its manufacturing plant is ISO 9001-2000 certified. `


Company profile

Monde Nissin Corporation was originally incorporated as Monde Denmark Nissin Biscuit Corporation in 1980 and started out manufacturing biscuits. Its top-selling products then were Nissin Butter Coconut and Nissin Wafer.

In 1989, the company ventured into the instant noodle segment under the Lucky Me! brand. Such was the success of the brand that it prompted the company to launch the very first dry noodle in pouches, the Lucky Me! Pancit Canton; and the first bowl noodle, Lucky Me! Supreme La Paz Batchoy.

In 2002, the company acquired M.Y.San Corporation, the manufacturer of the popular brands, Sky Flakes, M.Y. San Graham Crackers and Fita. Subsequently, the company changed its name to Monde Nissin Corporation.

Monde Nissin continues to be the market leader in the packaged foods industry. The Lucky Me! brand currently accounts for 64% of the retail sales.

The red and orange red cutters symbolize three sails signifying that the company is surging forward on the winds of innovative ideas and ideals. The orange and red reflect the company spirit of enthusiasm and creativity at work, and the passion for excellence.

Monde Nissin won the Carmencita Esteban Platinum Awards at the 2010 Tambuli Awards for its ad campaign Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga. The company also won the Effectiveness Advertiser of the Year Award. The same campaign also merited the Gold Award in 2nd PANATA Awards in January 2011. The campaign also won Silver for “Pregnant Pause” in Cause Marketing, and Bronze for “Magnifico” in Brand Marketing. It also won the 17th Golden Shell Award for Marketing Excellence.

It was also a five-time Consumer Union of the Philippines Awardee as the “Best Biscuit Manufacturer in the Philippines” and five-time awardee of Reader’s Digest Superbrands in the Instant Noodle Category. Monde Nissin was also honoured with a product award by the Philippine Association of Food Technologies for its adaptation of La Paz Batchoy into a convenient pack. The company also received at the World Selection of Quality in Brussels in 2007.
