Carmelo Alas (born July 3, 1969, Unisan, Quezon) is a Filipino basketball assistant coach for the Letrán Knights in the Colegio de San Juan de Letrán. Recently, he was the basketball head coach for his alma mater Adamson University's Adamson Soaring Falcons (replacing Luigi Trillo) during the 68th season of the University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP).

Prior to this, he was the head coach for Las Piñas College Huskies in the College and Universities Athletics Association, giving the said college successive titles.

He is the younger brother of multi-titled basketball coach Louie Alas.

LPC Huskies Championship era

eversince taking over as head coach of the LPC Huskies, he gave the team numerous championships and produced talented players that can play at par with the best players in the country.
