Malayan Integrated Industries Corporation

Malayan Integrated Industries Corporation is a Manila-based development corporation. It is part of the Top 100 Corporations in the Philippines.
In 1996, MalacaƱang approved a contract between the Cordova municipal government in Cebu and Malayan Integrated Industries Corp. for the reclamation of some 3,500 hectares of intertidal flats. The contract authorized Malayan Industries to undertake the project at no cost to the government and to own 70 percent of the reclaimed land.
However, the project, which was to cost P37.46 billion based on 1997 prices, was never implemented.
