Kuwadro” (Portrait) A dramatic monologue in one act written by Isagani R. Cruz in 1980, made especially for Rita Gomez (Katerina Alonso). This was first staged at the Dalubdulaan of the Manila Metropolitan Theater on April 18, 1980. It was published in Isagani R. Cruz, Josephine at Iba Pang Dula (Josephine and Other Plays), Manila: De La Salle University Press, 1988. This won second prize in the Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature in 1980.

This play in Tagalog is set in 1935. It recounts an aging and no longer known sarswela star who reminisces and tells how she became a star, her glorious days, and about the man who loved and supported her, to when her dreams and illusions rise again.
