Kurdapya is a popular Pinoy komiks character from the 1950s. She is an ugly girl who turned into a lovely lady. The serial was written by Pablo S. Gomez and illustrated by Nestor Redondo and Alfredo Alcala. It was serialized in the pages of Tagalog Klasiks in 1955. Kurdapya has been adapted into a movie in the same year by Sampaguita Pictures, starring the popular love team<ref>Tante de Ramos.Thirty Actors…from the Post-War Era to the Early 50s.
