Julian Banzon

Julian Banzon (March 25, 1908 - September 13, 1988) is a Filipino national scientist noted for his research on alternative fuels.


Career and Contributions

Known for his ingenuity and creativeness, Julian Banzon researched methods of producing alternative fuels, using local materials in almost all his researches. He experimented with the production of ethyl esters fuels from sugarcane and coconut, and invented a means of extracting residual coconut oil by a chemical process rather than a physical one.
