Jose Caluag

Jose C. Caluag was an artist for several early Philippine comics. He made among others 'Olivadame', scripted by Pablo S. Gomez and published in Tagalog Klasiks by ACE Publications in 1953. In the 1960s, Caluag illustrated mainly for GMS Publications where he became the chief illustrator. His partnership with Rico Bello Omagap produced many memorable komiks stories.
