Henedina Abad

Henedina Abad is a former Representative of the Lone District of Batanes to the 13th Philippine Congress (2004-2007).

Being married to an Abad, she is now part of the political dynasty reigning in the province of Batanes. She is the wife of former Department of Education and Department of Agrarian Reform Secretary, Florencio Abad. She authored House Bill No. 4248, also known as the proposed "Informers and Anti-Corruption Witnesses Protection Act". Before her election as District Representative of Batanes in 2004, Henedina served as Dean of the School of Government of the Ateneo de Manila University. She is a seasoned community organizer, policy advocate and NGO coalition builder.
