Flying V is an independent Philippine oil retailer company founded by Ramon Villavicencio. Like the so-called "big three" (Petron, Caltex and Shell), it sells high-performance fuels such as diesel, unleaded gasoline and other premium petroleum products.

[edit] History

Flying V was established in 1997 following President Fidel V. Ramos's approval of the Oil Deregulation Act (RA 8479). Its first ever gasoline station opened in the same year at Hagonoy, Bulacan. Since then, retail outlets and offices have spread fast nationwide, even reaching remote places. Concentrating on oil importation and retailing, the company has since then built hundreds of gasoline stations around the country.

As demand for oil increased, the Flying V established depots and terminals to better accommodate consumers. The company is considered pioneer in promoting biofuels and is the only oil company in the country to make pre-blended biodiesel available in its stations.
