Felipe Roxas y Arroyo

Felipe Roxas y Arroyo was a painter. He was also a prominent member of the Roxas clan. His brother was Felix Roxas y Arroyo, the first "qualified" Filipino architect; his father was Antonio Roxas and his mother was Lucina Arroyo.

One of his most important disciples was Jose Maria Asuncion, whom he taught at the University of Santo Tomas. In 1890 both Roxas and Asuncicon traveled to Paris for further studies.
