Falowa
From WikiPilipinas: The Hip 'n Free Philippine Encyclopedia
Falowa is an oval shaped motorized passenger boat sans the outrigger. Falowas are the only mode of transportation used in Batanes to get from one island to another. It looks more like Noah's Ark designed for it to just glide along the big waves of Batanes. The usual capacity of a Falowa is up to 20 people and it can even carry a motorcycle or a cow in it. Falowa boat-making, has been a tradition already for the Ivatans. The wood used in making a Falowa is called Palomaria.
