Eros S. Atalia (born 7 July 1975) is a Filipino contemporary writer known for his works Ligo Na U, Lapit Na Me and Peksman [Mamatay Ka Man] Nagsisinungaling Ako. He used to be a contributor and columnist in Remate and Diyaryo Pinoy and the former editor-in-chief of Responde Cavite. He was also a junior researcher at the Social Research Center and a junior associate at the Center for Creative Writing and Studies. He currently teaches Filipino, Filipino Journalism and Creative Writing in the University of Santo Tomas.

Atalia finished his Master of Arts in Language in Literature major in Filipino degree at De La Salle University in 2008, and Bachelor of Secondary Education degree at the Philippine Normal University in 1996.

Film adaptation

Atalia's best selling novel, Ligo Na U, Lapit Na Me was adapted into a Filipino independent film and was one of Cinemalaya 2011's most watched film.

Intoy Syokoy ng Kalye Marino, a film based on Atalia's 2001 Palanca Grand Prize-winning short story, is one of the official entries for the New Breed Full Length Feature Category in Cinemalaya 2012.
