Eric Canoy is a 30-year-old Filipino boxer who currently holds the WBO Oriental featherweight title. He took the title after scoring a ninth-round technical knockout of Tanzania's Rajabu Maoja on February 23, 2008 at the Zamboanga City Coliseum.

Latest Win

A product of the Erbie Fabian Stable, Canoy sent his Tanzanian opponent down right in the opening round with a powerful shot to the body. The Filipino delivered a devastating one-two, which later proved to be the last punches he would throw, at the ninth round of the bout sending Maoja to the canvass. By his win, Canoy became Zamboanga's first WBO boxing champion. The victory improved Canoy's unbeaten ledger to 7 wins and 5 kos.

Canoy beat Thai Olympic gold medalist Somluck Kamsing once during his amateur days.
