El Negro

El Negro is an action komiks novel written by Francisco V. Coching and illustrated by Federico C. Javinal. The last komiks serial by Coching, it was published in the pages of Liwayway in 1974 and adapted into film in the same year. It tells the story of El Negro, who was hired by the government to fight rebels but later joins the rebellion.

[edit] Plot
El Negro was hired by the government to help fight rebels in the town of Baracca. He aids the soldiers in several encounters and captures El Blanco, who supplies the ammunitions of the rebels. El Blanco is sentenced to death and requests El Negro to make sure that he is given a decent execution by a firing squad. However, El Blanco is dismembered and placed boxes making El Negro angry. He confronts the mayor and learns that the rebel's cause for rebellion is justified. He then decides to fight alongside the rebels.

El Negro was published in the pages of Liwayway in 1974 and adapted into film starring Eddie Gutierrez and Robert Jaworski in the same year.
